Dear Seymour,

2018

CAOS Stalker Teatro Artist in Residence

do you hear me? are you listening? that’s not what I wanted to say…..did that make sense? it’s not that…okay fine, you win.

If you lost your ability to speak, would you also lose your ability to express your thoughts? And those who speak with eloquence, would they still at times find themselves caught between the depth of their thoughts and the simplicity of their expression. In Dear Seymour, the performer questions the discrepancy between their inner world and the projection of it by living in the psychological space of their own representation. Playing between the embodiment of themselves and the omnipresent storyteller, the character onstage is caught in a never ending personal dialogue with themselves and the audience.
